About Connie

I was raised in a small farming town in South Texas and graduated from Sam Houston State University. I was married for ten years, no children. Most of my life I just went with the flow and sort of fell into careers and relationships without a lot of thought. I ended my career at IBM in 2016.

I began journaling at an early age and wanted to be a writer. I’ve written some poems, some song lyrics and a lot of angst in my journals. I have an active imagination but had to really work at creative writing. I am writing people profiles, news reports and lifestyle articles. Gone are the goals of writing a novel. I think the humorous stories I tell about dating are better set in blogs and possibly short stories. We’ll see how that goes. Oh, and I’m an avid reader – books – mostly from public libraries – I love being inside a library!

I love to accomplish my firsts – tandem skydiving, white water rafting, horseback tour of Canyon de Chelly, helicopter trip over Maui, parasailing at sunset in Maui, hiking to the top of Enchanted Rock, hiking Palo Duro Canyon, traveling to London, Paris, Japan, Puerto Vallarte, Ireland and Scotland. There are more on my list – more travel and finding the love of my life to grow old with – just to name a couple.

I consider myself a wise woman with huge experiences and a lot of disappointments in my life. I offer a sense of humor and am good teaching, coaching and mentoring. I’m social, open-minded and organized. I like this website and trust I will utilize it to the fullest and be a source for whatever you might need.
